⚖️Lahore High Court Clarifies Rights Over Dower Gold After Khula

The Lahore High Court has ruled that a husband cannot automatically reclaim gold ornaments listed as dower (Haq Mehr) simply because the marriage ends through Khula.

Justice Raheel Kamran also examined issues involving child maintenance, dowry items, the matrimonial home and the husband’s financial position. The court further held that property not actually paid for by the husband cannot simply be recovered as Badl-i-Khula.
