🚨 NDMA Issues High Alert as Heavy Rain Raises Flood Risks Across Pakistan

Pakistan’s National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a high alert over possible flooding as heavy rain is forecast across northern and other parts of the country over the next 48 hours.
Gilgit-Baltistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab and Azad Kashmir face risks of flash floods, rising water levels and flooding in streams and waterways.
Several areas, including Gilgit, Hunza, Skardu, Chitral, Swat, Muzaffarabad and Rawalpindi, are under close watch.
Authorities have been directed to prepare emergency resources and evacuation arrangements where needed. Residents and tourists are urged to stay away from riverbanks, flooded roads and fast-flowing water, while people in mountainous areas should remain alert to possible landslides.
